Melon Mission School delivers the Competency Based Curriculum, CBC, as established in Kenya’s Basic Education Curriculum Framework. The CBC is structured along the 2 6 3 3 pathway: two years of preprimary, six years of primary Grades 1 to 6, three years of Junior School Grades 7 to 9, then three years of Senior School Grades 10 to 12

Pre Primary to Junior Secondary
From the earliest years, our classrooms focus on strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, communication and social development, aligned with the Early Years and Primary expectations in the national framework.
As learners progress through Primary and into Junior Secondary, they experience a broad based program designed to help them discover strengths, build confidence and prepare for later pathway choices in Senior School.

We emphasizes what learners can do with what they know this includes practical application, skill development and continuous growth through classroom activities and projects. Assessment is designed by our teachers to be competency based and supports learning through ongoing feedback rather than only end point exam
